I have been making your Grab and Go Diaper Clutch as my go-to baby gift for a couple years now. I love it and the reactions I get from the mommies-to-be.
When the 50th anniversary occurred of “Doctor Who” occurred in November, I wanted to bring something extra special to the showing I was attending. I wanted to make a purse and decided to use the G&GDC as a starting point.
I made the outer panels first, which took the most time and effort (about 8 hours total for all three) and then worked on the clutch. I also wanted to make this more of a purse than a clutch and used the same technique to add a longer strap that can detach from either side.
I just wanted to share because I was really happy with how this turned out.

I think I speak for Dr. Who fans world wide when I say, O-M-G! This is completely awesome! I watched Dr. Who all the time when I was a little kid, OK that was 19…. um, well, a while ago… and it was the “best show ever”! I’m completely honored by your interpretation using one of my patterns.
For those of you NOT as cool as my nephews, a TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension in Space) is a time machine (!!!) and spacecraft in the British science fiction television show Doctor Who.
And for those of you in the sewing community, you might remember Sarah for her other really cool versions of the Grab ‘n’ Go Diaper Clutch, like this awesome edition made from fatigues, check out the name patch and the back pocket!
Thank you, Sarah, so much for sharing your creativity with us… Sewfie has some treats coming for you in the mail. 😉
